Movement and Yoga Therapy - Individual Sessions

With Linda Lack Ph.D

 What is Movement Therapy?

“Movement Therapy analyzes what the body issue/trauma is and then creates exercises that deal with the issues and attempts to return the body to full function. As a Movement Therapist, I also handle emotional issues like post-traumatic stress that result from whatever incident triggered or created the body problem. I work alongside and in tandem with other care professionals such as physical therapists, psychologists, MDs, orthopedic surgeons, neurologists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, naturopaths, osteopaths, and spiritual practitioners. The work we do is different from Physical Therapy, in that it is not based on remedial exteroceptive exercises alone. We work on proprioceptive and interoceptive experience that will allow the client/patient to return as much as possible to normal functional movement and stability anatomically, physiologically, and psychologically.”

– Linda Lack, Ph.D.

A movement therapist with 50 years of experience, Lack has been useful and effective with injury resolution, chronic pain, pre- and post-operative surgical problems, deterring effects of aging and resolution of dis-ease, emotional and physical. She is expert in the analysis of movement problems for both untrained and highly-trained clients.
